Dr. Dinender Singla Works to Equip Surgeons with 3D Printed Heart Models

Dr. Dinender Singla is a professor at the University of Central Florida, and he and his lab have made it a goal to ensure that surgeons preparing for difficult cardiac surgeries are equipped with 3D printed heart models to help them plan ahead. Their work has already saved at least one life; a baby born with a serious heart defect was successfully operated on after his doctors were supplied with a customized printed model of his heart, thanks to Dr. Singla's lab.
