Foam, rubber or flexible plastics.

Hi,

I have found this forum through researching 3D printing capabilities online. I am hoping to be able to produce a 3D printed foam product on a commercial scale. I am aware that there is work going on in this area, but it's unclear whether anybody is offering foam 3d printing on a commercial level or if this is still restricted to R&D testing.

If foam is not a possibility at present, rubber or a flexible plastic may be an alternative.

I'd greatly appreciate it if anybody could fill me in on 3D printing capabilities with any of these materials.

well there is a filament called porolay.
Essentially it's a mixture of 2 materials. one is soluble the other not.

You print something and throw it in a sink and it partially dissolves giving you a spongy porous effect.

Flexibles - yeah we have those :-)
Just about any colour or stiffness you require.
