Cockrell School on Engineering Unveils 3D Printing Vending Machine

Students at the Cockrell School on Engineering now have the ability to use a 3D printing for free. A new 'Innovation Station" 3D printing vending machine has been set up on campus. The machine which uses a Makerbot Replicator 2 also has a patent pending arm which pushes finished products off the build platform and into the receptor bin for students to pick up. Below is a picture of the machine. I could see these things appearing in hardware stores, where you submit an order online and pick it up locally after it has been printed.
