Debat Acetone/ABS, PolySmooth/Alcohol

i pledged for one,

i own a FDM printer, also DLP, and for a while an SLS,

the one i use the most is my FDM, for reliability. WYSIWYG printing.

So if this machine can improve my FDM surface finish as they claim to show, then 199 usd is well worth the money.

We'll see. Not a big risk anyway.

I tried ABS vapor, it's not great, part weakens, and acetone vapor are not that healthy.

Hmm, so you could get a similiar effect just by wiping the polysmooth model with isopropyl alcohol.
Or the same way you do it with abs and acetone in a standard fume chamber. Isopropyl is at least as volatile as acetone.

I'll definitely get a sample of polysmooth when it hits globalfsd though.

But do i really want to piss about with ispro anymore than I want to piss about with acetone ? nah.

Cool idea though and Polymaker have never disappointed me.

Not entirely sure about this. I think their nebuliser is a good idea, this way you get a uniform coating on the part, which you could not get just by wiping i believe.
