Ford to Have Fleet of Driverless Cars By 2021

Ford has announced that they plan to have a fleet of automated, driverless cars on the road by 2021, and they're taking several big steps to make that happen, including a $75 million investment in LiDAR technology manufacturer Velodyne, research and development expansions, and more. It'll still be a while before consumers can expect to buy their own automated vehicles, though - for now, Ford is planning to offer their driverless cars for Uber-like ride-sharing services.
