z axis not responding

Hi, my printer (ender pro 3) was working fine until i had a clip to hold the glass plate in the wrong place (blame foggy sick brain on that one) and it got jammed up on the side while the y axis was moving back. the x and y still work fine and it will start printing but the z axis will not respond. it makes no sound or anything when i try to move it via the controls. I had a back up motor so i replaced it and that did not help at all. any idea what my dumb brain is missing? Any and all help would be very much appreciated. Thank you all.

after multiple trouble shooting things we have decided it is the mother board. So a replacement will be ordered and fingers crossed that is the issue as we think it is.
