Man creates Tools to Aid People Suffering from Arthritis

Inspired by a 3D design contest to create devices that can help other people, designer Ian Hanna decided to put his design skills to use in creating tools to help the many sufferers of arthritis. Those afflicted with arthritis find difficulties in performing everyday tasks such as buttoning or zipping their clothes--but thanks to Hanna's designs, these tasks can now be more easily completed. Designed using FreeCAD and Blender, Hanna's designs, available for download on Thingiverse, include the Button/Zipper Assist, Handle Assist, and Key Assist.
