Looks like MakerBot just formed yet another partnership. This time with Dell, who will help them sell their Scanners and Printers.

What do you think this means for the future of Makerbot and the future of Dell? Will it drive prices down farther?
Don't know about prices, but I hope I can use my contacts to get a job with Dell (Australia) setting up machines.

According to the press release, these are the models they'll be selling and the prices. The prices are the same as Makerbot currently sells them for directly.Quote:

I wouldn't think the prices would be any different. If they were everyone would just buy the printers from the cheapest source. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what this deal is all about. Perhaps it makes Dell exclusively sell MakerBot 3D printers and scanners, and Dell gets a really good price on them / large commission when they sell a printer.
