Voltera V-One 2-layer Circuit Board Printer

Ontario-based Voltera has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund their new Voltera V-One All-In-One Circuit Printer. The V-One is, effectively, a machine to 3D print two-layer circuit boards, and the crowdsourcing campaign has a $70,000 funding goal. Voltera notes the lack of a learning curve with their machine, including advanced, easy-to-use software. Basically, Gerber files go in and FR4 boards come out. Early bird Kickstarter backers (the first 20) can receive a V-One for $1,199, while backers after that initial rush can get the machines for $1,499; the first units are planned to ship out in September, with the second batch slated for January 2016. Wow! Looks so cool!!

if this legitimately works it will be a huge boon to the maker community at large. Not just for 3d printing and related tasks but for anything and everything electronics related. Sure there are other, far cheaper methods for pcb fabrication at home but the results are hit or miss depending on the skill set of the person making them which is why I always end up paying someone else to make my boards.
