ABS adhering to HIPS

Has anyone else had bad experiences with ABS adhering to HIPS support material? Seems like when HIPS is used for a support layer, ABS doesn't want to adhere. I've been experiencing a lot of curling and filament drag across my parts. Any suggestions?

Printer/model setup:
Airwolf 3D HD2X
-Cura 14.09
-Repetier Host
-2.88 [mm] ABS from Airwolf
-3.00 [mm] HIPS from eSUN (sold by Lulzbot)
-Bed temperature: 125 [C]
-Extruder 1 temperature: 240 [C]
-Extruder 2 temperature: 240 [C]
-Layer height: 0.15 [mm]
-Print speed: 30 [mm/s]
-Platform adhesion: BRIM

Have you tried using PVA as a support material?

I have not. I can order some, but I've only heard good things about ABS + HIPS. Surprised that it isn't working well...

It might help if you enclosed the build area and heated it a bit.

Interestingly, I have not read of any good adhesion combinations for any materials.

They link to their recommended ABS/HIPS settings, not sure if they match your settings above?

As for using PVA, according to the link above it's not compatible with ABS due to the higher ABS temp will melt the PVA.

Also, I talked with Airwolf a couple weeks ago and they mentioned that they are getting better results using PLA as support to ABS rather than using HIPS. Here is how they are dissolving the PLA:
