Any ShapeOko Owners here?

I am putting this in Off Topic since it is a subtractive process whereas 3D Printing is an additive process. My son and I have been tossing around building some sort of CNC engraver/router machine for about a year. This week he ordered a ShapeOko 2 kit. Should be here mid January. Any CNC Router people here? Anyone with experience on this machine? I am pretty sure building it is very similar to building a Reprap or Prusa Mendel, only we have a router instead of an extruder. I am curious about programs to generate tool paths, etc.
