Hairspray for non-heated glassplate for printing PLA

Hello,

Ive got a witbox printer.
That's a printer with a glassplate, non-heated.

I can print PLA with it, but big objects (bigger as 18 cm long) will get warped at the edges.
The vendor of the machine did tell me to use some hair spray.

Does someone has experience with it?
And yes, what kind of hair spray do you use?

I already tried blue tape, but that let lose of the printplate also.
I also used some glue, but that gave troubles with the filament and cleaning the print plate.

Do you have any solution?

Elmer's purple school glue gave you problems cleaning the print plate? Just a little water and it softens back up and cleans right off!

If blue tape let loose, either 1) it was an elcheapo brand, or 2) you didn't clean your glass well enough first.

If you want something that absolutely will not let go (and you better not have your extruder set too close, or it really, REALLY, will not let go), try some BuildTak..

I use Elmers Purple and it does very well for me. I usually get around 6 prints before I have to re-apply. I wipe it off with a wet napkin and it comes right off.

If using blue tape also remember to thoroughly apply it using a credit card or something similar.

If you want to use hairspray, find one with the highest holding number (5 or better). One recommended brand is Garnier Fructus, but have a good look at what you can get in your local supermarket.

Apply the first coat lightly and allow to dry for a minute before applying a second, slightly heavier coat.
