'Make It Sink' Design Crowned Among Winners of Thingiverse 'Make It Float' Challenge

Filip Sjöö has a way of thinking outside the box that has caught our attention before, and now the maker has shown his design prowess as one of the winners of the Thingiverse 'Make It Float' Challenge with his surprising entry, which he calls 'Make It Sink.' Inspired to make something with moving parts, he turned to the idea of using a water wheel and a sinking boat, with a man in the boat who waves his arms as his boat sinks under. The snap-together design, printed in 21 pieces (with one piece printed twice), took six iterations and a lot of design know-how and calculations before it worked as he conceptualized.
