Hi.
Not sure if I should spent the extra money on a LCD tech. 3d printer (ie. Phrozen 4k mini) or a DLP tech. (ie. Anycubic ultra) for printing miniatures.
I noticed that the DLP (Anycubic) has a XY resolution of 80 microns and the LCD (phrozen) has a XY resoltion of 35 microns.
Any advice much appreciated. Thank you
I think it's just two terms for the same technology.An ultraviolet light is projected through a lens against a panel and where the panel is opaque, the light is blocked and the exposed sections are cured.The current technology uses simple black mono screens, rather than full colour screens.So:1) make sure you get a printer with a mono screen2) higher resolution is always going to be better.The 4k mono oanel will last longer, give faster print times and stupidly detailed models..I mean, look at it under a microscope detail levels.So out of those two you listed, the phrozen would be my choice
