inadequate filament flow rate

Hello

I recently started got into 3d printing. I created a part on SW then converted it to the proper file for my printer but noticed that the filament is coming out in globs and not a smooth continuous flow. I leveled the bed then the z stage and still. To test to see if its faulty i ran a sample code that came with the printer and had no issues. Filament flow out the nozzle was constant. So my question: is there a setting when i slice a part that maybe affecting the print?
