Selecting the right materials

Selecting the right material isn't always easy. In fact, having to choose between quality and quantity subjugates most of the question. But truly, what should you ask yourself first? Albert Einstein once said '' Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.'' , indubitably quality overpowers quantity unlike many would think. When it comes to choose a material , you may want to select one that meets all requirements such as : fine surface details (The material is appropriate for complex and delicate details.), smooth finish (The material is itself a provides a smooth final surface.), High heat and chemical application (The material provides a significant resistance to high heat.), manufacturing ( The material can be life tested.)and tooling (Can be used to make manufacturing process tools.). Once the selection process is done and comes the part where you test your own product, other requirements such as; concept model, design verification, form and function, functional testing and regulatory control become important. In short, selecting the right material isn't always an easy job, but keep in mind that quality compels quantity.
