$10 Million In Funding Proposed for Additive Manufacturing Research Facility in Ohio

Congressmen Tim Ryan and Michael Turner from Ohio have just announced $10 million in funding for the Additive Manufacturing Research Program at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. The funding which was part of 2016 Defense Appropriations Bill, which was passed on Thursday will not head to the Senate and President Obama for consideration. Likely it will be approved allowing for the US Air Force to better investigate and research uses of additive manufacturing for weapons systems and other applications.
