Fenner Drives 3D Prints New Clog Prevention Screen

Fenner Drives is a company that turned toward one of its own product lines, NinjaTek, when it needed to replace an important clog prevention screen on one of its extrusion lines. This important screen's function is to keep the oxygen control flapper, which works across nine material vacuum transfer systems on a Fenner Drives extrusion line, material-free. The screen was 3D printed using NinjaFlex -- NinjaTek's filament that is made from "specially formulated thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) material." Not only was it convenient for Fenner Drives to use its own product, but the 3D printed clog prevention screen saved the company $10,500 in yearly maintenance costs!
