Makerbot desktop error "failed to prepare object file for printing"

Hello!

I just bought a new PC with windows 10 and installed Makerbot Desktop. The program opens up and does everything fine until I try to print preview or save file for printing when I get the error "Failed to prepare object file for printing". I've heard other people have had this problem too, anyone know how to fix it?

Tikki, I downgrade the firmware one step, and set the settings to default, appear to me that my Makerbot 3D printer is kind of sensitive if I stretch to much the settings, using 10mm distance from object in the raft settings starts that issue, so check your settings and try a test print in default settings.
