ender 3 layer problems/hitting print

got a new glass print bed, but this isn't my first print on it. for some reason the first layer now goes down pretty well and then on about the third layer my ender 3 starts over extruding on infill (not on walls) and then the nozzle starts grinding and bumping the layers that are too high and it just makes a mess. I adjusted the Z tension thinking maybe the nozzle wasn't going high enough, I reset Cura slicer to defaults. adjusted the temp down .. nothing seems to help

pictures are worth 1000 words so please advise me if you've ever seen these problems and maybe have a solution

ender 3 (not pro) glass bed, aluminum upgraded stock extruder
slicer : cura (reset to defaults) no z hop nothing special
pla: tianse red 1.75
