Al Qassimi Hospital, located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is using 3D printing to give plastic surgery patients accurate representations of what they will look like post-surgery. 3D printing has gotten a lot of attention for the advancements it has made possible in reconstructive surgery, but we rarely hear about the anxiety of the patients who are about to wake up with brand new features. The 3D printed models, which are created using 3D scans of the patients' skulls, allow patients to clearly see what they will look like after recovery, giving them more confidence in the procedure.
