Virtual reality is showing itself in a new light this week as representatives from both ZEISS and arivis give a presentation at the Microscopy & Microanalysis tradeshow in Columbus, Ohio, unveiling their new product in immersive microscopy. Not just meant for the scientist in a lab looking at microbes, this offers a new world to innovators and researchers alike—from those investigating the inner structures of 3D printed parts and checking for accuracy and integrity—to those studying neuroscience and the inner workings of the brain structure and all its connections. Wearing a headset and using a controller, you can view data differently just by moving your head or manipulating the controller to show varying depths of data.
