Alcoa Partnership with Airbus Will Provide 3D Printed Titanium Components

Although metals manufacturer Alcoa only recently adopted 3D printing technology, they've gone after it with aggressive enthusiasm. After several multimillion-dollar expansions, they're setting themselves up to be a major supplier of additively manufactured components. Today the company announced that they have signed an agreement with Airbus to provide them with 3D printed titanium fuselage and engine pylon components, which will be delivered sometime in mid-2016.
