SKR MINI E3 DIP not found by PC or imac

Hi, I'm still new to this and trying to muddle my way through. I finally got marlin to compile but now none of my computers recognize or even acknowledge the board is plugged in. I tried 3 different computers and 3 different USB cables and nothing. I tried to download the mapleDRV files from bigtreetech's bithub page for the board but i don't know what to do with the files. I can't find the directory they say to put the files into.Anyone had this or know what to do here??thanks
