New to printing!

Whats up everyone, im pretty new to printing, i have some experience with them on a davinci 1.0 aio and just upgraded to a makerbot replicator 5th gen, seems pretty cool i habe had to take the extruder apart to clean it once, it seems that when i use the pla that came with it it doesnt really detect jams too much but with a mywerkz transparent blue it thinks its seeing jams but it isnt a true jam, because it will start right back to it by hitting resume, ide like to keep that detector on but im about to bail on with these false readings, anyone have any ideas? I did do a search but i usually never find what im looking for even if it is there haha
