I always hear people saying that 3D Printers are a gadget that you will buy, use for a month and then kinda just forget about it. However, that definitely hasn't been the case for me. I use my printer at least 4 times a week for the past 5 months, and probably have it printing for at least 20 hours a week. I was wondering. Are any of you guys like me, using your printers all the time? How much do you guys use your printers?
Constantly. Normally three going at a time.
Often, but not more than 20-30 hours per week. Simply cant figure out that much to print :D
And i have a work offshore that kills my average a bit ;)

20-30 hours a week for my personal printer.
40-45 hours a week for each printer at school (Rep2 and Rep2X)

Err, A lot but I've never timed it.
It's so useful to be able to design and print what I need rather than mess around having to source a suitable part :D

I must admit that over the past few months I have only been using it about 2-3 times a month. I've been busy with school though, so that's the main reason. However, when I am out of school, I plan to use it on a daily basis.

Hobby machine and it gets used about 2-3 hours daily while designing. Once I get a couple of good designs for a project it can go 8-10 house daily for a few days. I use mine at least 3 days out of the week. Mostly Weekends but sometime during the week. If I had more time I'd definitely use it more.
I use mine 5-6 hours a day, 4 or 5 days a week.
I am trying to justify keeping mine and think I am loosing out to myself. :) Because it is such a big bugger I am constantly aware that when it is on it is using at least one kWH and sometimes two if all the heaters are on. I have really only had it fully functional for maybe two months or so but have used two rolls of model material so far and two rolls of support, that's four kg of plastic through it. :eek:
Last week I did a 56 hour print, that was all the plastic parts for a Kessel that I am making. It did my brain in watching that meter go round for 56 hours.
