This rocket is the biggest print yet however I must say its not the size of this print that excites me but the fact that since the printer dose things this size without a hitch, that gives me the impression that
40cm isn’t any where near the limit :) I think some day we will look back and laugh at our selves referring to these prints as "Big".

As awesome as this is I cant help but notice this update has glossed over the fact that update 52 ( released a couple of hours prior to this) announced a shipping date slip to September - December.
Awesome rocket though.

I'm somewhat amazed that the "standard" Peachy did that. I was expecting the normal Peachy to be limited to "normal FDM printer" sort of dimensions (eg. maybe 25*25*25cm), with the Pro being needed for anything much larger. Altho there are resins that have far less shrinkage, the resin that we are printing with shrinks 8 percent!
thats alot, if we were to print side ways I think the rocket would deform dew to the fact that 8% of the length of the rocket is 3.2 cm of non symmetrical deformation.
Resins have come a long way recently, I think we could find one that works for peachy and dosent have this high shrinkage factor.
untill we get a low shrinkage resin, positioning things so they are small and symmetrical in the x and y will probably work better.
On that topic, do you have a number on shrinkage for the peachyjuice stiff yet? This is probably come up before, but I haven't seen any info on it yet.

How can large flat surfaces be printed with accuracy, like a cell phone? Thinking about it, I see the only way it will work without causing large defects would be to do it tall side up. I cant see any large print on the vertical axis working very well since the water is always flowing.. seems this would cause the middle to always warp, or whichever side of the print was filled in first....would there be a way to add a solenoid of some sort to stop the water flow for large flat prints? I would sacrifice Speed for Accuracy. The flow rate of the water is going to be critical to any print based on the surface area of the print. On normal Z axis motors they print then move, print then move. If you add a solenoid for the water control you can do the same thing, and the software could calculate the amount of water needed for each later to make more accurate prints. Have you tried printing from the bottom like other resin printers do and using a stepper motor to see what the actual resolution of the prints could be with your laser method?
Has anyone printed the test models that MAKE magazine uses for testing 3D printers?
