Cheap 3D printers with larger build areas?

Hello,

New to 3D printing but I have some 3D designs and am seeing that 3D print services seem to be quite pricey. Wouldn't mind having my own printer but my largest design is 11 x 4.5 x 3.5 inches. I've been shopping around for some low priced 3D printers that could accommodate that build size but it's amazing how many 3D printers are out there.

So far the cheapest one I've found that meets my requirements (I think, not sure on resolution, materials and a bunch of other factors) is this one:

Also found this one for a bit more money:

Was hoping I could get some suggestions from others more familiar with what is out there.

In that price range you are going to be limited by size somewhat. The only other way to circumvent this is to build your own which might end up costing just as much anyway.

No reason not to look at makerfarm.com and check out the 12" prusa. i just bought one.. waiting for it to ship out.
its a kit, but its not too hard to assemble.

Yeah that's kind of what I figured. I was even surprised I found one for under $1k but thought it was worth checking on. I did see another option that needed assembly also for around $1k. Thanks.

Nice, that seems very cheap for only $650. Might give this one a try. Thank you!
Edit: Looking at it, it says it doesn't come with a power supply? I did a quick search and didn't see one listed on their site. Is it something common and easy to find elsewhere? If so any idea how much those usually run?

I'll think about what future projects I might want to 3D print and see if the extra build area makes sense for more money. That's the largest build area I've seen yet and it's great to have that as an option. Thanks for the link.

Yeah, cheap and easy. Here is one that i bought for my kit. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The wire, etc may cost you another 15-20 bucks. I ended up getting some cable management things etc. But for 650 + another 50 in other items, its a HECK of a buy. that is IF it works out for me. If not, ill make that known too :)

What kind of size do you need? I know of one if you need something much bigger. It's more expensive than those, still extremely cheap for the size, but can print around 42 cubic inches if you are interested in something with that can print bigger items.

Excellent I'll keep an eye out for your review on it. It does seem like the cheapest deal out there for a cubic foot+ build area.

For now I just need to print something 11.5x3.5x4.5 but trying to think about potential future projects and how big they might be. Thanks.

Cheapest / print volume?

Check our 3Dfilamenta , over 40 3D printers. I am sure some of these will fit you, both size and price.
