i have a ender 3 for a year now and has never worked i have fixed over 50 problems(some popped up again) i just need help fixing it plz someone
Post the Problems you are having the forum and I will help you get it printing.
Thx's so much i just replaced a part i am going to test it tommrow i mixed up two wires and then i will tell you the probelms if there are any
But the probllems i was having were layers not sticking together not sticking to print board and when layers did stick layer shifting
As this is a Ender3 with layer problems I would guess that the XYZ axis may need adjusting.
Layer shifting could be caused by the XY Axis not having a smooth travel path most likely the Eccentric nuts are not correctly adjusted.
The Z-Axis problems could be related to several things including the slicing process.
When you again post with your current problems we will continue with suggestions.
I have not not gotten a chance to test i have had a lot happening lately sry but i should hopefully get to test wendsday that is my free day but one problem i havbe now is when ever i heat up my hot end then the screen says that it has heated up to 26 not the 210 i have set and i let it sit for 10 minutes and it neve changed
so i swapped the wireds i mixed up and the hot end heated up to 350 not the 220 i told it to (at least thats what the screen said) i then swapped them back and got the same thing. I just bought a new hot end becasue it looked like the plastic never heated up enough but now i dont know what is wrong and why it is saying 350. also the filament is not comig out. now the plastic not looking like it was heating up enough may have been the filament (i have solutech gray and blue) i dont know if i should put the old hot end backing since i know it works but telll me what you think i should do
The Thermister detects a short by reading 310 °C or higher
The Thermister detects a open-circuit by reading 16 °C or less
should i go back to the old one and have you help me fix the printer from there our should i keep the new one on and have you help me fix the temp issue and fix the filament not coming out or should we do one of those and i buy new filament (i have solutech) tell me what i should do i just really want a working printer
I am Here for the duration, you tell us what problems you are having an we will answer to the best of our knowledge to help you.
It may require me asking questions in return, fixing a 3D Printer is sometimes quite long and requires many post between the individuals.
Sometimes the party requesting the information gets side tracked, in one case the requesting party did not respond online for almost a year.
Then returning the forum got together and between all of us we helped the Party to resolve their 3D Printer problems.
ok thxs we will start off with trying to get the temp to read right and getting the nozzle to put out filament
Sounds good.
Let's start by talking about which firmware you have loaded.
Ender 3 Firmware + Source Code + SD Files + BL Touch
or
Ender 3 Pro Firmware + Source Code + SD Files + BL Touch
or Other.
i have the first firmware
When you first turn on 3D Printer what temperature reading do you have for your Hot-end and Hot-Bed.
357 for hot end 22 for bed
Thermister is shorted with a reading 310 °C or higher.
I would suspect that the Thermister is shorted unplug and measure the resistance of the thermister at room temperature Post resistance.
With Hot-end Thermister unplugged from controller board again turn on 3D Printer and post reading.
so i lossened the bolt that was holding the thermistor and plugged it back in and it is reading 26 also it is putting out filament now
the filament did not look very melted though
i have only had one filament it is solutech it is around a year old and was stored on the printer the hot end was set to 220
Then if it does not look very melted it must not be PLA what filament type are you printing with.
Have you tried to print a Temp Tower to determine what temperature it print best at.
i am printing with pla 1.75 filament and i dont know how to do a temp tower
That is a fairly high temperature for Printing PLA filament.
I am using 1.75mm pla and i dont know how to do a temp tower
sry for posting twice
what temp should i print at
and how would i do a temp tower
Using Cura load a temp tower like this one on thingiverse
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2493504
Then Using tweak At Z-3.0.1 with Cura I find where the layer temp increase and using that layer enter in tweak At Z-3.0.1.
This means that I will be using 8 tweak At Z-3.0.1 for the 8 temperature changes.
The temperature is usually printed on the roll of filament.
On My machine I print PLA between 196- 206
Though printing a temp tower will show you the best filament temperature.
can you find me a video
The nozzle looked like it was not dispensing fast enough
Nozzles have to be replaced once in a while they are in the list of consumables, though you may need increase the hot-end temperature for your filament.
Do you hear clicking, this could be a sign of the filament slipping causing under extrusion.
So I just bought a new heat box which came with a new hot end and nozzle and I do not hear any clicking I noticed this when I was doing the temp tower I could not do it as the filament did not come out fast enough
Are yopu still able to help me??????
Yes.
Print something small and post an image. Or post a photo of your temp tower
post your slicer name and slicer settings.
Nozzle size, Layer Height, Hot-end Temp, Bed Temp, Print speed nozzle height above the bed at 1st layer.
Please note the actual hotend temperature during printing, do you have a parts cooling fan running and at what speed.
my fan i have turned off and i use cura as my slicer and i have a .4 nozzle size i will run my temp tower tommrow
Check the XYZ axis
i have found some people at school that are going to fix but thanks so much for all your help i have learned alot from you Thxs!!!
