3Dprint.com is in my rotation of blogs I check daily. Here are some of my top three types of articles:
1) I have learned about multiple contest from 3Dprint.com which has been really useful as I wouldn't have learned about some of them from anywhere else. One example was the contest from thingarage (3D print for aid) that was featured awhile back. I participate in all their contests now! The post recently about the pen holder competition is another great example. http://3dprint.com/13582/myminifactory-wacom-pen/
2) 3D printers doing good in the world in innovative ways. The recent coverage of e-NABLE is great! http://3dprint.com/14242/3d-printed-wolverine-hand/. I had volunteered as a fabricator after learning about their work from 3Dprint.com from previous articles!
3) Heads up on new consumer grade printers and technologies. Was really stocked to see Flashforge send you their printer for you to review. Hope more companies do the same. mhttp://3dprint.com/12789/flashforge-dreamer-review/

i read about this guy who made his own Polymer Jetting Technology 3D printer, i'd give him props for advancing the research and engineering that will enable consumers to buy a low cost, super high quality 3D printer:

I have a 3D printing google alert set up so I get interesting stories from 3dprint.com almost everyday. The most exciting one recently is the guy building a consumer targeted resin jet uv cure printer. http://3dprint.com/14131/polymer-jetting-3d-printer/

3D printed CO2 cars were a blast to make and my students absolutely loved it! I recommend any teacher who has access to a 3D printer to try this project out.
