I mainly use it for printing can chop figurine. If the figurine is too big, I can simply chop it into 2 piece, which may be good for painting later on. I prefer fine detail to reduce polish workload. Polish can be tedious for detail parts.

The main reason why laser isn't as fine of a resolution is because the size of the laser point. .
Try fitting a 1920x1080 over a surface. The bigger the print surface reference is, your resolution just got nuked. And DLP with big print size becomes less effective, as your surface energy also got nuked, which means longer curing time per layer.
Laser on the other hand is a dot that has a diameter width ranging from 50-300um depending on how the firmware and machine sets the value. It suck ass compared to DLP in small feature, but work fine at really really big parts.
Here is our compressor rig printed with an SLA it's biggest feature is somewhere around 12-13" in diameter.
