The filament was Natural White ABS from MakerGeeks. :)
It worked out nicely since I didn't use any special settings for the print that would deviate from the print settings for the items I designed on thingiverse.

A tool build. Table saw gauge. This is how it came out of the printer - no touch up yet.

I did get a response but not from Jetty but from someone who Jetty uses as his mouthpiece as he is VERY knowledgeable about SF.
I had to respondQuote:
PWM for a heated bed is a waste of time -- totally unnecessary. Same can be said for worrying about the heated bed temp varying +/-2C.
And actually Sailfish can and does do PWM for the print cooling fan. Your issue is that X3G, the command protocol, doesn't support PWM for print cooling fans. So, there's no way to tell Sailfish the PWM duty cycle to use. But late 7.7 and all 7.8 (beta) builds of Sailfish have an LCD UI menu setting to set a 0 - 100% fan power which is then used each time the fan is told the binary on/off supported by X3G.
See this doesn't make sense to have code in SF (supposedly) that will do something if the language, and the ONLY language, used to talk to the firmware can't do it.Quote:
I don't agree with the PWM and the bed part and if .x3g is the issue then why does SF only work with .x3g and not .gcode?
When I was looking at the source for 7.7 I noticed that only the Azteeg X3 and 2 others (I forget which ones now) had the Cooling Fan PWM defined so all other boards don't have it defined therefore never will work.
So, wouldn't it be wonderful if SF started to use gcode instead of the antiquated Makerbot nonsense? That way SF could really shine and the code generated to make the fan go faster for bridging and slower in other places actually worked? I think so.
Yes, I know about the way SF offloads the computing to the slicer's machine but something should be made to make .x3g work for this.
Here is a new print using MG yellow PLA at 60 bed and 220 extruder. Any thoughts on the lumping and rough looking edge at the top of the print? Most of the rest of the print is real good.

I dunno W, might try dropping the temp a bit, maybe to 210C. I'm totally guessing though.
Just a few days ago I was offering dumb stories about UPS deliveries. I appear to have angered the shipping gods. My last two deliveries from UPS have been left on the road by my mailbox rather than on my front porch (or at my RV). Today's was left out in the rain, and unfortunately it was electronics. Not to mention the big freaking boxes sitting there on the side of the road saying "STEAL ME" all evening to everyone who drove by! Sigh...
SEE, anger the gods and ye shall feel their wrath.
btw, when the post office stuffs my mail box they can't even close the front so one day I had the same thing and this neighborhood is one step up from a real ghetto. It wasn't always that way but with the rapists, murderers, pedophiles and nightly gang shootings this place is no longer a nice, or safe, place.
