I wouldn't be surprised if there was :)
March 11, 2015 , 8:33 am Out for Delivery WAUKESHA, WI 53186
Dumbfounded. I am just dumbfounded. The package was sent Priority Mail 2-Day. Left March 5, 2015. Going (hopefully) to be delivered today, March 11th. 6 days later for a 2-day package and they declare it "On Time". <facepalm> Again.Quote:
- On Time
- Expected Delivery Day: Wednesday, March 11, 2015
So, it looks like the one from California might just arrive. So far its the only one of the three to show any movement toward Wisconsin. So, anyone betting on the 3rd package, California package, you win. Apparently. We will see if the truck can find its way here today. Its entirely possible with the way things are going, the truck and its driver just might decide to take it to Kansas or something.
Still, nothing has been or is showing signs of being delivered from GlobalFSD. Nothing. One deliverd to someone else. One stuck in Chicago since arriving from England 5 days ago.
It's weird. I've sent alot of stuff to the states, and recieved afair bit from them. never had any problems. Most things take 4-7 days. With one package at christmas taking 2 weeks and arriving christmas eve.
Also send stuff to canada regularly, again never had any issues.
Well there was the one parcel that got forgotten in a corner of my sisters local post office for a few months - but they owned up to that one.
But I use standard post, not a courier firm. Oh yeah and I always lie on the customs form. No matter what i send I put: 'confectionery and childs toy' on the not unreasonable grounds that it covers everything you can eat or play with :-)
Well you don't want to bother the customs people with unnecessary details do you ? ;-)
I have even managed to send greenery to california !
Yep fresh bayleaves picked from my tree and vacumn packed. And completely illegal :-) was quite proud of that one lol
God forbid we should cloud the issue with facts :) Good grief, admitting to smuggling bay leaves in an open forum. What were you thinking.
I too have received many shipments from overseas from Lasers to Disney Pins. Most have resulted in quick delivery, usually couple days and I would think the average has been around 3. Never more than a week let alone two. Just sucks to be me right now.
But, hey, I felt much better after running a couple boxes of ammo at the range. Brought the 10yr old granddaughter along and had some nice quality time with her. Helped me to unwind and simply accept that the situation isn't going to be resolved in a way where I win and get my filaments. I am left with ordering full spools one at a time I guess.
lol it's a fair cop gov.
Fingers crossed for you - there's some fun filament in that lot.
Package arrived. A bit mangled but intact. So I guess this confirms that 6 days is considered ON TIME for USPS.

So, got a new toy. Got some white ABS. And got some PVA. Now I gotta get the flexi extruder on the dual head converted to a standard head so I can print sumptin :)
California package wins!! Now if only I can do that at the track!!
6 days on a 2 day package, I think they might of got a hold of aardvarks fresh bay leaves :)
I went looking a little yesterday for anyone that did sample lots in the USA, but didn't have much luck (I'm sure you've done so as well). If I run across anything, I will let you know.
Final update as I have totally given up receiving anything at all from GlobalFSD and will find other means of acquiring filament.
Second package from them arrived in Chicago on 3/7/2015. So says Royal Mail.
Date & Time Status of Item Location March 12, 2015 , 8:58 pm Arrived at USPS Facility CHICAGO, IL 60701 March 9, 2015 , 12:31 pm Processed Through Sort Facility ISC CHICAGO IL (USPS) Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
So, in 5 days, its moved...nowhere.
First package, still in Georgia in someoneelse's hands. Probably completely confused as to what the heck it is. Nice that the people who received my package have notified...nobody that its not theirs. Free stuff I guess.
In the last week, I have received packages from MatterHackers, two boxes from Precision Reloading, two from Freedom Munitions, a box from Starline Brass and a box from Hornady to the same address. The company has received dozens of inbound packages as well (not to me personally), some from overseas (asia I think). So, clearly its not the address.
I don't know what has cursed this transaction, but something has.
I have had no communication from GFSD here since 3/6, by email since 3/10. And neither indicated they were doing or planned to do anything to deal with the situation.
So, enjoy the thread. Caveat emptor.
Peace.
Out.
Hi Wolfie
Apologies that you have not heard from us in a few days. Hassan has been at the TCT Asia show and i could not find the login details for the forum, Duh!!
It has been a frustrating time for both you and GFSD, as we have dispatched quite a few packages to the United States. Especially as both of the packages as you know were sent via a tracked service, the follow up package included your bamboofill and Easywood coconut :(
I would say go ahead and order again, as you obviously have no problems receiving mail :) Just wait a little while before you do as we are still waiting on our Bronzefill and Copperfill + XT-CF20 from colorFabb, was ordered 2 weeks ago! Even the greats can get it wrong.
In the meantime we have initiated a full refund, which you should have received by now.
Regards
Tim
Well, I did say I wasn't going to post again. But. Well. the second package found its way out of the labrynth of Chicago where its been circling the drain for days.
Unfortunately, it only contained two filaments. EasyWood by FormFutura and BambooFill by ColorFabb. Two of 13 is better than none of 13. The other 11 filaments are MIA in Georgia. I posted a ticket with USPS over a week ago and have yet to hear squat from them. No surprise there though. I will be sending GlobalFSD by email to arrange payment for these two at least.
I guess I have to post...AGAIN.
This is what the package looked like. Clearly USPS doesn't understand "DO NOT BEND" also might infer "DO NOT BOW".

This just arrived. Not the best of conditions. Labels on the other side, so don't freak.
http://cdn.ipernity.com/200/41/86/37...bf29a2.500.jpg
Which I am totally confused about now.
This is what Royal Mail says about the original tracking # I got from Tim here.

So, Royal Mail says this:

So, WTH? Sent 2/26. Got to O'Hare on 2/27. Isn't seen again until 3/14 (this past Saturday) by Royal Mail but also isn't seen by USPS until 3/12 (past Thursday). So where was it between 2/27 and 3/12? Missing and off the grid for nearly two weeks?
Only thing I can figure is Tim sent me the wrong tracking number. But that doesn't explain why it took 17 days for a 5-10 day delivery. In the end, its here. ALL of it is here :)
Sent two emails to GFSD so I can arrange to return payment.
I guess all's well that ends well.
:-)
Rofl! Its like Christmas morning around here! One of the guys just walked back two boxes of filament from MakerGeeks (ordered on 3/13). God, I love their surprise pack. I get something nice I didn't have before every time so far.
Geez, what to print first :)
Guess I will use the MakerGeeks stuff for now (Ninja Flex sampler as well as some FormFutura spools and assorted ABS spools) until I make payment arrangements with GFSD. That stuff really isn't mine until I pay for it and we settle up.
need spools for your samples ?
Try these :-)

Rofl on the toilet paper tube spool. Anyway, I will probably cut somethig out on the laser cutter. Faster and easier than printing.
Its just how I play. Its how I was raised. I don't take whats not mine. If I give my word, I had better have a damn good explanation why I didn't keep it because the reliability of my word is more valuable to me than any physical thing. If I tell my granddaugters I will do something with or for them, they can pretty much etch that in stone. That kind of trust is earned and re-earnd with every promise kept and lost entirely with every promise broken. Nobody remembers the promises you kept, only the ones you broke.
I insist on that from others even if sometimes it makes me into the bad guy. If you say you will do something, then do it or give me a damn good reason why not. The shipping said 5-10, not 10-20 days. I only expect what I paid for and expect delivery when they said it would be. If it had said 10-20, I would not have been nearly as disgruntled. Or if they contacted me and told me the plane carrying the packaged crashed and burned, well, same result. Neither happened. The package wasn't delivered when quoted, nor do I know why.
The filaments are here. They refunded the money. As far as I am concerned, these are their boxes until they say otherwise. It simply would not be right to treat it any other way. If they wish me to return them, so be it.
I know what you mean. I'm planning on giving the 3 weird lengths of semi-flex away as globalfsd sent me a proper 10metrere length as well.
Damn good company :-)
Wolfie,
Congrats on finally getting the filament!!
Woohoo! Payment sent...they are mine <insert B grade Scifi movie evil laugh> now.... Let the printing begin. Well, after I get home from work.
First test print is out and done! First up was ColorFabb's WoodFill. Not to clutter this thread (like I could clutter it any worse eh?)..I posted it to a new thread:

Hello everyone!
Here is something new for filaments and more for 3D bioprinting!
We are 2, straight out of college, guys fascinated by 3D bioprinting and have developed a bioink that can be used with all the 3D bioprinters out there. If you guys could tell us your impression on our new website and webshop www.cellink.eu (Shoppink) we would truly appreciate it!
With love,
Erik Gatenholm
Hi
I thought I pop a quick post here to echo what Wolfie has said that GlobalFSD have exemplary customer service and will issue refunds and help quickly (occasionally with a reminder when email goes astray). Delivery to the UK has always been prompt and always arrives quickly.
Like others I have always found international mail a whole other problem, things always seem to get delayed in customs and track in weird ways. The key thing in this situation is the customer service of the organisation you are dealing with - I don't think you'll see better.
Chris
PS. Just to confirm I am a satisfied customer, and not connected with the company

I can vouch that these are good people :-)
And a massive selection of filament too.
