Aurora z605 extruder replacement?

Hi guys , new here and to 3d printing.

I bought a cheapo Aurora z605 (I know.. I know..) a couple months ago and it worked fine for some time.

However, recently the extruder hasn't been pulling in any 3mm filament.

I was wondering if someone could refer me to another extruder that would work better, ideally a 1.75mm one since 3mm isn't very precise to start with.

I'm not too got with the assembly so a full kit is what I am looking for.

I've seen some geared extruders and they seem alot more sturdy.
Can I replace my stock extruder with one of these?
Has anyone done this before?

What do you guys think?
