3D Hubs' 3D Printing Trends (Monthly)

3D Hubs, which maintains close to 9,000 3D printer listings in 160 countries around the world, is a hot spot for 3D printing enthusiasts and those who just think it would be neat to have a 3D printed thing. The popular website updates its data monthly, reporting on the trends they notice in an in-depth look at global distribution and 3D printer trends. Their metrics include ratings of the various 3D printers used by hubs through their network, and the results from November 2014 show us some interesting trends. Check them out in the full article:

3D Hubs has released their latest report of trends in the 3D printing world. The company recently announced that they've surpassed the 10,000 printer milestone (with the latest count standing at 10,521 3D printers throughout the world), granting them a large base from which to gather data. For this month's report, they added a new twist, asking respondents which 3D printer(s) they will buy next, in addition to their data gathering on trending printers and geographical use details. The top two most wanted printers were very clearly the Ultimaker 2 FFF-based 3D printer and the Form 1+ SLA-based 3D printer. here is what i calculated by 2020 there would be 18 057.8307 more 3-d printers at 3-d hubs
here is how i calculated it 108.355 weeks per 7,500 units = 2.42715 printers per hour on average
5 years / 2.42715 printers per hour = + 18 057.8307 but it's probably going to accelerate by more multiples earlier than that
likely within 2 years or less it would get faster to achieve these accelerations but then there's also Christmas 2015 which can be one of the busiest times for the 3-d printing industry around so yeah it looks like the norm is closer than we think so it's a great chance to help the stock exhange before further depths of the super trend and will sure pay off
