I know plenty of way's on how to take a 2d image and make it a 3d extrusion and such, but I'm a bit confused on how I would take something like this image here, http://goo.gl/rmcTDx , and convert that into a 3D model for use.
Anybody willing to teach me the way's of getting models the best :P
I know you cannot do it right off the bat for sure. You're trying to replicate a character off extrusion, it's still going to be a 2D with an extra thickness. What you are looking is to replicate a character from images? That requires much creativity, I am not the person with knowledge in that field.
If you can wait a little longer, someone will answer your question.
Yeah I'm a little confused on it myself :P But not all that in a rush either, hopefully someone comes along that know's whats up :P
If you take a series of images all around the figure, you can use an application like 123D Catch to generate a 3D model. It's a web-based app, though, and the behind-the-scenes work is done by Autodesk's technicians, so ownership of the IP is somewhat questionable, if that's a concern. http://www.123dapp.com/catch
