I had to share this. I'm not sure what brand it is or who these guys are running it but they claim that it is a $15,000 Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printer. As you can see in the video, the power is spread, then the laser melts the powder in areas where it needs to be hardened. then the powder is respread over, and the laser goes to work again. This is how laser sintering works.
