3D Printing Featured in Episode of Pure Genius

The pilot episode of a new CBS drama "Pure Genius" featured 3D printing being used to help navigate the surgical needs of a patient with a rare tumor. In real life, the technology is becoming an increasingly accepted part of a well equipped hospital. The Phoenix Children's Hospital has a 3D printer onsite so that they can have same day turnaround on printed heart models that help their doctors perform better and increase the success rates for their patients.
