Proximity Designs Turns to MakerBot for Improving Agricultural Industry

The Yangon, Myanmar-based social enterprise Proximity Designs has recently turned to MakerBot’s 3D printing technology to help improve the country’s agricultural industry. In late 2015, the design firm realized that additive manufacturing was the optimal method for rapidly prototyping inexpensive farming equipment and tooling, effectively allowing them to physically assemble parts of the prototype and refine them before having them manufactured in aluminum. Their use of 3D printing technology has effectively helped increase the speed, reliability, and versatility of their prototyping process for farming tools.
