Palmyra’s Arch of Triumph Replica Made With 3D Technology & Carving, in London Now

Palmyra’s Arch of Triumph indeed serves as an inspiration to people worldwide as well as a message of defiance to terrorists such as ISIS. After the ancient Temple of Bel was destroyed, all with the exception of the iconic arch, the Institute of Digital Archaeology (IDA) was able to use 3D technology to go on to make a scaled model of the piece, carved in Egyptian marble. The arch has just been unveiled in London and will travel to Dubai, then New York, and ultimately back to Palmyra, where it will be established permanently near the original.
