Shapeways Points Out New Copyright Information Pertinent to 3D Printing

In light of all the recent copyrighting conversations going on in the 3D printing industry today, it’s no surprise to see that Shapeways has just released some new information that they see as relevant in part for many users. While the whole United States Department of Commerce whitepaper is of course scintillating in totality, in his blog Michael Weinberg points out that the areas on remixing and statutory damages should interest many—especially considering if you step on the wrong feet and infringe—you could be looking at a six-figure fine.
