Echolocation and 3D Printing

The world of dolphins is a fascinating one, but always seems so shrouded in mystery, still, regarding their sophisticated society and communication. Now, we have an incredible visual thanks to researchers from both Miami and the UK. They have been able to, after many years of research and development, create 3D printed models of what dolphins see via echolocation. With initial 3D prints made of items such as a cube and even a human image, the researchers plan to delve deeper with the project, and a documentary is being produced on their progress in 3D as well.
