3D Printed Da Vinci Flying Machine

When Matija Sadek, an architecture student at the University of Zagreb, saw the challenge issued by Thingiverse for Catch the Wind he knew he wanted to create something. Fortuitously, he saw a poster for an exhibit of DaVinci's designs in Zagreb that same week. Drawing on inspiration from DaVinci's flying machine, he created a smaller kit version that is entirely 3D printed and represents his first contribution to the population of Thingiverse. Currently in the works are some improvements to the construction and control of the machine as well as the making of a video that shows the creature in flight.
