Resurrect the Woolly Mammoth With 3D Printing... Sort Of

The woolly mammoth has been extinct for thousands of years, but recently scientists have considered taking DNA from frozen mammoths and regenerating them as living creatures. While this may or may not ever happen, Taiwan's National Science and Technology Museum already has a newly created woolly mammoth on display, thanks to the help of the latest 3D printing technology. By teaming up with Beijing Tiertime Technology Co., Ltd., and that company's UP Plus 2 3D printer, a 3D printed mammoth stands tall in the "Journey of Printing Collections" exhibition.
