SABIC Builds More Efficient Truck Roof With 3D Printing

SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation) operates a Research and Technology Center which is pushing the materials development process for 3D printing technology forward, and the Saudi company’s commitment to additive manufacturing led them to being part of the Big Area Additive Manufacturing (BAAM) printer project. SABIC has worked on projects aimed at increasing efficiencies in luminaire design, aircraft design and now, a new roof design for heavy duty vehicles to enhance a vehicle’s fuel economy.
