Film Series RotorDR1 to Allow 3D printing of Real Drones from Film

With shows like The Walking Dead featuring large in the public eye, smaller production companies are sharing their own unique visions of post-apocalyptic worlds. Ohio-based StoneKap Productions' take is even more unique than most -- their web series, Rotor DR1, takes place after a deadly virus has struck, and drones fill the skies. The production company, led by Chad Kapper, uses crowdsourcing for ideas, directly involving the fan base, and now the series will be edited into a full-length feature film. 3-D Legion, also based in Ohio, is now going to 3D print drones based on those seen in the series, and make them available to fans.
