Emerging Objects' 3D Printed Pavilion is a Monster

Emerging Objects, led by CEO/co-founder Ronald Rael, has been at the forefront of some impressive feats of 3D printing, including their 'Cool Brick' and a house made of salt...and they're at it again with another groundbreaking 3D printed structure. This Friday, March 6th, at UC Berkely, 'Bloom' will be unveiled. Emerging Objects' latest creation, Bloom is a 9-foot-tall pavilion structure with a 12' x 12' footprint, created from 840 blocks all 3D printed using an iron oxide-free Portland cement polymer formulation -- and it's the largest powder-based 3D printed structure ever.
