I'm wanting to do a large Number ( 2 ) that's about 3cm thick. I don't want it solid so will use maybe a 10% Infill? So is there a way of knowing what thickness the sides/top or bottom will be?

You have to set your shells. Probably one shell will be good enough if you just want it for show.
Excellent, thank you for that, I will test it out today
LOL Yeah I should have picked a 3 instead
Bumming a fag is a very different experience in the US cf the UK / Aus.
Yeah, pretty common term here, not something you really blink twice at :) reminds me of these candies/lollies we used to have here called 'Fags' , imported from the U.S or mexico I think.... they were fake cigarette candies.. they changed the name to 'Fads' (which is sorta still applicable lol...)
I wanted to get this thread on track, so I re-read the first post again.. "I'm wanting to do a large Number ( 2 ) that's about 3cm thick."
and all I could do was burst into laughter, sorry, I will be no use here... ;):o:p
I remember fags in Australia - they had a red tip on them. I always preferred the cigars, though. You had to remember to take the gold foil band off otherwise you'd get a nasty shock halfway through.Quote:

Enough nostalgia. Wall width is the vertical shells perimeters setting in Slic3r under Print Settings / Layers and perimeters. Top and bottom are in the Horizontal shells part of the same settings section.
