Local Collaboration for 3D Printing Education?

As we've seen, 3D printers are steadily making their way into schools, ostensibly to educate students on their use. But what about the teachers who haven't learned to use them? Some 3D printers seem to just be gathering dust due to lack of training -- and John Donnelly, Head of Technology at St James School in Bolton, UK, has ideas about how to improve 3D printing in the classroom. It starts with the teachers, and focusing on tech initiatives at a local level. Donnelly has used a free after-school workshop to start his initiative, with the help of Dylan Taylor of The 3D Filament Shop in Manchester.
