Newbie printing failures
Hello All,
I've recently purchased the CTC dual extractor 3D printer, and had mixed results and now complete failure :-(
I started by running the level build plate, and then ran this calibration from Thingiverse:-
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:355893
Which I managed to print with a good, consistent quality. So I went on and did various other prints that were all OK.
Until the next time I went to do a check of the quality before printing I got very poor results (see attachment calibration_issues.jpg).
I re-ran the level build plate check on the printer, and very minor adjustments.
Another calibration and whilst I got a slight improvement over the attachment, still far from perfect.
Now admittedly I was printing with PLA at an extruder temp of 230c, which I dropped to:
extruder speed 40
travel speed 100
bed temp 60
extruder 190
Tried again, and see attached the results1 and results2 files.
So, out of ideas as I can't see a consistent issue to attack.
Any ideas everyone?
